Made for

English vocabulary and listening practice

This starter mixes everyday food, objects, transport and nature words. Review the vocabulary first and replace words to match what your learners have studied. The interface language and card content are separate; applying this template does not translate your own content.

How to play

  1. 1

Review the word list together. Give each learner a card and explain the winning pattern, such as one row.

  2. 2

Say one word at a time or give a simple clue. For example: Apple — a fruit that can be red or green; Spoon — something used to eat soup; Bus — a vehicle that carries many people; Rain — water falling from clouds. Record the matching word in the caller, rather than the clue.

  3. 3

Pause when a learner calls Bingo. Check the words against the call record, then invite the learner to read them or use one in a sentence.

Make it work for your group
Use the Classroom template for school objects or Sight Word for early reading. Choose a 3 × 3 grid for a smaller word pool; keep at least one distinct item for each playable square. This is practice, not a language-level assessment.
